MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Mitchell Park Domes' "beloved" corpse flower -- named "Musky" -- is on the verge of blooming.
The corpse flower, also known as Amorphophallus titanum, blooms every so often and when it does it releases an odor that's compared to that of decomposing flesh.
According to a Facebook post from the Domes, the odor is a powerful attractor of pollinators, chiefly flies and carrion beetles.
Follow the Mitchell Park Domes on social media to find out when the corpse flower blooms.
