WATERTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Justice and the Division of Criminal investigation are investigating an officer-involved incident on Wednesday, Oct. 18, according to a police report.
Around 11:17 a.m. officers with the Watertown Police Department responded to a call regarding criminal damage to property at an apartment in Watertown. When they arrived, the suspect was gone. They found him on Tower Drive during the afternoon. Officials say the man turned toward them with a gun.
At least one officer shot the suspect, killing him.
The officers are on leave as the investigation continues.
