We've had some brief relief from the heat with highs on Thursday staying in the 70s and some lakeside spots not even making it to 70*. Friday is another very comfy day with highs ranging from 70* near the lake to the upper 70s well inland. Then the heat builds in with highs Saturday, Sunday and Monday all hovering around 90*. By next Tuesday we will drop back into the 70s.
As the heat builds in, so will the humidity. Expect very comfy conditions on Friday with dew points in the 50s. By Saturday we will see some muggyness return with 60s for dew points. Sunday will feel very muggy with a dew point around 68*. The humidity will stay high through Monday as well.
Expect a decent amount of sunshine for the beginning of the weekend or at least a mix of sun and clouds. Monday the clouds will increase with a chance for showers and storms by the afternoon/evening. If storms do form they could be strong with all the heat and humidity.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the soaring heat and humidity for the July 4th weekend.
