Ope! Brewing sues Minocqua Brewing Company over Tim Walz-themed beer

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Minocqua Brewing is once again being threatened with a lawsuit. 

They released "Ope: A Lager with Big Dad Energy" a couple weeks ago. 

Owners say they got a call from Ope! Brewing in West Allis, claiming they stole their trademark.

Ope! Brewing says they had talks back and forth for about a week before filing a lawsuit and temporary restraining order. 

Kirk Bangstad, owner of Minocqua Brewing, emailed us a statement saying Ope! Brewing was asking for 50% of the profits of the beer.

He says they are changing the logo to Big Walz Energy to avoid the trademark.
