MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Brewers open the 2019 season on Thursday by hosting the St. Louis Cardinals.
Ahead of the opening pitch, CBS 58 spoke with several employees and fans about the upcoming season.
“I’m really excited about the team on the field. We’ve improved our team from a great team last year, the division got tougher, but it’s going to be an exciting race,” President of Brewers Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said.
The first fans arrived at Miller Park to start tailgating around 3 a.m. They said it’s a tradition for them to make breakfast ahead of the big game.
“Opening Day we just see who’s here and you know, we meet up with other people and we just chill out,” Sandra Mandl said.
The couple has spent eight Opening Days together.
