MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Acting Police Chief Jeffrey Norman, along with other local leaders, announced a new public safety partnership Friday, Oct. 22.
It's called Operation Green Light.
It will bring four high-tech cameras to different intersections in Milwaukee.
The cameras will provide real-time intelligence for investigations to help curb reckless driving and other crime around the city.
"This camera system is in key places under the Villard Avenue business corridor, where we are going to expand that with this partnership with the area businesses, using the BID as our go-between in regards to having this project expanded," Acting Chief Norman said.
This is a larger collaboration between residents, businesses, local law enforcement and others trying to fight crime.
