MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For the second year, the Jamar Shaw Entrepreneur Scholarship has been given to a Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) business student.
Jamar Shaw was a young entrepreneur in the midst of opening a business when he was tragically killed. His parents set up the scholarship in his honor.

Leaders of the fund aim to find area small businesses that can have a positive impact in the community.
They give scholarship winners more than $2,000 to allow their new business to bloom.
"To give other people the opportunity to live out that dream is so rewarding for us, for me and my husband, we know he is up there smiling at us. Just keeping his legacy alive is very important to me and my family," said Katina Shaw, Jamar Shaw's mother.
This year's winner is a new business called Minute Moms, focused on working to give moms a day off and build a network of people helping each other throughout the community.
Congrats!
