OWI arrests down in Milwaukee County for St. Patrick's Day weekend

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- OWI arrests were down in Milwaukee County for St. Patrick's Day weekend this year. In 2019, there were 387 traffic stops and 12 OWI arrests.
During the same time period in 2018 Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputies made 418 traffic stops and 19 OWI arrests.
Chief Deputy Denita Ball said the partnership with MCTS for free rides has allowed people to celebrate responsibly.
