OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 17-year-old boy was killed in a car accident on Thursday, Dec. 19, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a rollover crash on County Highway KW in the town of Belgium around 8:46 a.m.

An initial investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling southbound on County Highway KW at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, traveled over a raised bank of the railroad tracks, struck a tree line on the east side of the road and came to rest on its roof.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash remains under investigation.
