MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Major Goolsby's, a sports bar in downtown Milwaukee, was a sea of green and gold on Sunday as the Green Bay Packers clinched a playoff spot after defeating the Chicago Bears.
For many fans, it was a moment that's been a long time in the making.
"We're going to the playoffs!" said lifelong Packers fanatic Bert Lauderdale. “I mean I think this is one of those years where a lot of these haters and these old heads were like, oh, you know we gotta be humble... I get getting humbled, we gotta be humbled but sometimes you get lucky, and not just lucky, it’s love.”
The team's score of 17-9 also marked their 10th straight win against the Bears.
Next week, they'll face the Dallas Cowboys.
“It’d be cool to see Mike McCarthy in a playoff game, hopefully beat him," said Anthony Zingale of Milwaukee.
And Rex Tanky, another Packers fan, said it best -- “love Milwaukee, love Major Goolsby’s, love the Green Bay Packers, love Jordan Love!”
