GREEN BAY--The Green Bay Packers and General Manager Ted Thompson have agreed to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

Thompson will enter his tenth season as the Packers' GM. In his tenure the Packers have won a Super Bowl, played in ten postseason games and won four NFC North Championships.

\"His outstanding work has been the key factor in the success that we’ve enjoyed in recent years,\" Mark Murphy, Packers President/CEO, said. \"I have tremendous respect for Ted, and am confident that we will continue to contend for championships under his leadership.”
