Peaches are ripe for the picking at Apple Holler, first time in 3 years
STURTEVANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The first apples of the year are ready to be picked at Apple Holler. This year, you can add some peaches to your bushel, too. It's the first time in three years that Apple Holler has had peaches ripe for the picking.
David Flannery, the owner of Apple Holler, says it's thanks to a mild winter, no quick temperature drops, and a wet spring.
"Pretty much perfect growing conditions, and as a result, we’ve got the biggest peach crop that we’ve ever had," said Flannery.
The orchards have about 7,000 peach trees to pick from. Picking season will last through September.
Apple Holler is known for its sweet baked apple cider donuts and the large kids area to play in all year long.
