WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) – Most of us have had more than our share of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches over the years, but the new Peanut Butter and Jelly Deli in West Allis promises something very different.
The place just opened on 61st and Greenfield. The restaurant makes their own fresh peanut butter and some unusual sandwich combinations.
“Peanut butter and jelly, cheddar grilled sandwich. I have it on sourdough bread,” said customer Pat Kreil.
“We do all of our nut-grinding in house every day. And we work with local and regional jelly farms and they produce all of our jellies and we’ve got about 100 different flavors,” said owner Mike Hottinger.
Hottinger says one of the most popular sandwiches so far is “The King” with peanut butter, bananas, and honey.
