MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kathy Shillinglaw from the Wisconsin Humane Society joined CBS 58 on Friday, July 4 to introduce us to Bandz, a 4-year-old pup on the lookout for a forever home while currently living at the WHS Milwaukee campus.
She also spoke about hot weather safety tips for pets, including never leaving an animal alone in a vehicle, choosing early morning or evening walks to beat the heat, testing pavement with your hands before your pet's paws have to touch it, always having access to cool, clean water and also watching for signs of dehydration or heat stroke.
