Pep rally held in LA ahead of Packers vs. Rams game

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (CBS 58) -- The green and gold are in Los Angeles for tomorrow's game against the Rams, and we all know Packers fans are everywhere.

CBS 58's Natalie Sheperd is in LA at the Packers pep rally, located at Tom's Watch Bar.

The beer was flowing early.

Carla Eckert from Janesville was ready. A season ticket holder, she's happy to travel for the team.

"It’s the best! The Green Bay Packers have the best fans in the NFL. I'm telling ya," said Eckert.

For others, the game is a little closer to home.

"Everyone loves the shield because that represents Captain America. I call myself Captain Colby Jack. Leader of the cheesehead commandos."

Johnny Montano is from California, but a diehard Packers fan none the less.

"I love the fans, I love the atmosphere I love the cheese curds. Hey, I love Spotted Cow, love Spotted Cow! Whoo!" Said Montano.

It's the same for David Lucero, a California native. He moved to Green Bay to be closer to the team.

"I went to my first home game in 2005. Fell in love with Wisconsin, said 'this is where I want to live,'" said Lucero.

Lucero is the president of the Southern California Packer Backers, which is 15,000 followers strong.

"Southern California is a hotbed for Packer fans, so I anticipate a sea of green and gold, so it's going to be exciting," said Lucero. You'll find him at lot 10 in Lambeau. He hasn't missed a home game since 2009, even though he now lives in Kentucky.

"You gotta do the tailgate, so I make it a point to make sure I drive so I can set up my tailgate party in lot 10 and invite friends and club members who don't always get out to games at Lambeau field," said Lucero.

Wherever they're celebrating the team, these Packer fans want one thing.

"I'm looking forward to a big win," said Eckert.

It's a bit of a mix as far as fans who are actually going to make it to Sunday's game at Sofi Stadium, although Lucero says his group has 500 tickets to the Packers game and either way, they'll be watching.
