Popular video game Fortnite teasing a collaboration with Giannis Antetokounmpo
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Video game "Fortnite" is hinting that a face very familiar to Wisconsinites will be featured in its next update.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was showcased by Epic Games, Fortnite's developer, in a teaser video meant to showcase some of the new content set to join the game during its newest chapter.
No details were provided as to when the Greek Freak will be featured in the game, but Epic Game's collaborations typically come within a few weeks of their teaser video releases.
Fortnite is an online video game available on most gaming platforms where up to 100 players can battle across a variety of modes. It debuted in July 2017 and has generated billions of dollars in revenue since, while racking up robust critical acclaim.
This is not the first time Fortnite has collaborated with an NBA superstar, as LeBron James was featured last summer with his own in-game skin that players can choose to play as. The game also featured an "NBA 75" set to mark the National Basketball Association's 75th-anniversary last season, featuring a variety of in-game visual content that players were able to choose from.
