Proposal to expand Festival Hall, connect to new hotel

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An ambitious plan was unveiled for downtown Racine on Friday.
Mayor Cory Mason, a developer, and a group of lawmakers announced a proposal to expand the city's Festival Hall and connect it to a new Sheraton Hotel.
The hotel would have at least 173 rooms.
The announcement calls it a public and private partnership and a $48-million investment.
Construction could start next spring.
