MILWAUKEE (CBS58) - Six years after her sold out performance at Summerfest, Shelia E. is back to rock the Johnson Controls World stage Saturday at the Big Gig.
Summerfest is special to the Queen of Percussions as her drummer Wes McVicker is from Milwaukee.
The singer, musician and actress said she's excited to return to the Big Gig, calling her first performance back in 2015 the best party.
During the pandemic Shelia E. said she spent a lot of time writing music. She also started her online T.V. show 'Shelia E. TV' where she features up and coming musicians and artists. She also said like many during quarantine, she spent time gardening and cooking.
She only recently started performing live again and said the energy from the crowd was what she missed most.
CBS 58's Pauleen Le caught up with her ahead of her big performance.
Shelia E. performs at the Johnson Controls World Stage at 8. p.m. Saturday.
