Racine & Me: Festive Fun & Craft Fairs with Real Racine

 

RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Cari Greving from Real Racine joined us to talk about a whole bunch of festive fun this season in Racine County!

We started off with Oh What Fun it is to Run 5K! You'll be able to see the Christmas Carnival of Lights in a brand-new way! You'll get amazing photo-ops as you walk or run through the light show. This is the ONLY opportunity we offer to walk through our light show!

It's happening on Friday, November 25 from 5:30 pm-7pm untimed and 8pm-9pm timed. 

Cari also talked about the Craft in the Woods Craft Fair. It's happening on Saturday, November 26, 2022. The event helps to raise money for their charitable outreach program. The outreach program allows them to bring children to camp that would otherwise be unable to afford the life-changing experience that camp offers. The William L. Rust Lodge and 21 of the cabins will be filled with over 35 crafters and vendors. Enjoy some fine homemade cookies and candies at a Bake Sale, try your luck in our craft raffle, and sit down and enjoy yourself with a warm cup of gourmet coffee and one of their gourmet desserts at Mrs. Claus' Coffeehouse.

Lunch is available for sale from their camp kitchen in the main lodge. It is a great opportunity to enjoy camp while helping give children moments they will cherish forever! Again, it's on Saturday, November 26th, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admissions: $5 for Ages 12 and up, $1 for Ages 6 to 11, 5 and under are free Admissions includes parking and shuttle. No dogs will be allowed at camp- service dogs are acceptable.

The Uptown Tree Festival is happening on Saturday, December 3 at 1501 Washington Ave, 1501 Washington Ave, WI from 2-5pm. 

The Waterford Christmas Parade is also a great time for the whole family! You can begin the evening with a parade of sparkling lights, floats, and (weather permitting), a marching band and, gymnasts. Superhero's, princesses and Disney character Olaf will also be on hand. Santa and Mrs. Claus wrap up the parade and will take visitors at the Christmas Chalet at Ten Club Park.

Cari also spoke about the Union Grove Holiday Craft Fair. It's happening on December 3, 2022 at Union Grove Elementary School from 9AM-3PM. The event is free!
