RACINE, Wis. – The Racine Zoo has a schedule of fun lined up in July. Beth Heidorn, executive director, and McKenna Moats, marketing manager, joined us on Monday, June 30 to share details about the lineup.

Zoo supporters can kick off the month with a Kenosha Kingfish baseball game Tuesday, July 1. A $45 ticket includes a reserved suite seat, all-you-can-eat ballpark food through the fifth inning and unlimited drinks with bottomless wine for an extra $5. The next night, Wednesday, July 2, the Zoo will be the featured nonprofit at the Milwaukee Milkmen game against the Railroaders at 6:35 p.m., with proceeds and raffles benefiting Zoo programs.

The 38th annual Animal Crackers Concert Series on the lakefront featuring Davina and the Vagabonds will take place July 9 and then with Vincent Ingala on July 23. Shows begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

A gourmet Cigar Dinner will be held Thursday, July 17 offering hors d’oeuvres, dinner, cigars and auctions. Attendees must RSVP by Monday, July 14, at 4 p.m. Margarita Fest follows Saturday, July 19, with live music and food included in the ticket price.

Families can wrap up the month at Christmas in July on Saturday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature entertainment, crafts, bounce houses, cookie decorating and holiday characters throughout the Zoo.
