Red Cross urges blood donations with chance to win Super Bowl trip and free shirt
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The American Red Cross is asking Wisconsin residents to donate blood to address a seasonal decrease in blood supply.
To help spur interest a bit, the Red Cross is offering a free long-sleeved shirt to people who donate through Jan. 3. Donors who contribute between Jan. 1 and Jan. 26 will also be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
A full list of donation opportunities throughout southeastern Wisconsin can be found by clicking here, with dozens of opportunities available throughout the area, including over a dozen in Milwaukee County alone.
Eligibility to donate blood includes being in good health, at least 110 pounds, and 17 years of age or older. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-Red Cross.
