MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As thousands of immigration agents remain in Minneapolis, concerns over ICE coming to Wisconsin continue.

Tuesday, Representative Mark Pocan said the biggest concern he has been hearing from his constituents is regarding ICE.

He expects to see agents come to our state, considering the activity in our neighboring states and that ICE received seven times as much funding from Homeland Security because of the "Big, Beautiful Bill."

He said he'll "fight like hell" to protect Wisconsinites, acknowledging he and his colleagues don't have many other options.

“I mean, if Mike Johnson doesn't put it on the floor, we've done more discharge petitions this year, and then in what, 15 years or something like that, there's very little that we can -in the minority party, do- to put something on the floor of Congress to rein in ICE," Rep. Pocan (D-Wisconsin) said. "But we can use the power of the bully pulpit and the power of persuasion with folks to try to influence them.”

Pocan did not give a timeline as to when we might expect ICE here in Wisconsin.
