Repaving project in Whitefish Bay set to impact local traffic

WHITEFISH BAY (CBS 58) - The Village of Whitefish Bay is currently resurfacing the entire Village limits of Lake Drive. Work began on July 8 and requires pavement milling and removal of debris, asphalt repaving and pavement striping.

To accommodate the needed work, the following intersections will be completely closed for the day on Tuesday, July 23 (weather permitting):

*Lake Drive / Marlborough Drive / Silver Spring Drive

*Lake Drive / Henry Clay Street / Ardmore Avenue

Drivers traveling in the area should plan on using alternate routes, such as:

School Rd, Santa Monica Blvd and Hampton Ave. Local traffic will still be allowed on the remainder of Lake Drive.

The closure is expected to last one day. As with most construction projects drivers should plan not only for extra time but use caution when traveling in construction zones.
