Report: Packers Quarterback Jordan Love expected to be out week 2 against Colts

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love is expected to miss week 2's game against the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field on Sun., Sept. 15.

This according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport:

Backup Quarterback Malik Willis is expected to get the start, less than one month after the Packers traded for him: Packers acquire QB Malik Willis from Titans for 2025 seventh-round draft pick, AP source says (cbs58.com)

The news comes as Love continues to recover from an MCL sprain he suffered in the first game against the Philadelphia Eagles: Packers QB Jordan Love has an MCL injury and should return this season, AP source says (cbs58.com)

Following the injury, multiple reports said Love could miss anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.

But this earlier this week Head Coach Matt Lafleur said there was a chance Love could return to the field as soon as week 2.

Now it appears Willis will get the nod, with second year QB Sean Clifford serving as the backup.

The Packers welcome the Colts to Lambeau on Sun. Sept. 14 at Noon.
