A slow and methodical warmup on the way
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS58) -- A gear-heads paradise took place on Sunday, May 19 in Waukesha. The Garage Milwaukee, which opened in 2020, hosted its first Cars and Coffee event.
Car enthusiasts got to enjoy classic and modern cars of all makes and models. The event featured a car show and demonstrations inside the shop.
"Inside we are doing wash demos, we are showing a proper two bucket wash," said Jake Ruiz, The Garage Milwaukee Owner.
Ruiz said they never expected this kind of turn out but are happy to see car lovers come out.
"We've got so many people more than we ever thought would come to show off their car that they're proud of," said Ruiz.
Attendee, Matt Mika, said it's a beautiful day to see some beautiful cars.
"To be able to see all of these exotic and even old cars is just pretty incredible to see some of the Cybertrucks that they have around here, some of the new vehicles, it was pretty interesting. We came up from Chicago and it was worth the ride," said Mika.
Mika says with Wisconsin being home of Harley Davison, there should be more car shows in the area.
"There's a big Motor City up here in Milwaukee with all the local racetracks, with Road America, the Milwaukee Mile, the Great Lakes Drag Way. There's so much to do for the car scene," Mika explained.
The Garage Milwaukee plan on holding more events in the future. Click here to say up to date.
