MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A truly cross-country ride, raising money for a good cause.
YouTuber Adam Sandoval spent the past 85 days driving his Harley-Davidson in the Great American Convoy, hitting all of the lower 48 states.
Sandoval's raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps our nation's injured veterans and their families.
CBS 58 talked to Sandoval earlier this week about why this cause is so important to him.
"I, myself, never served in the military," Sandoval said. "So, I decided, to coin a little phrase, that says if you did not serve in the military, find time to serve those who did. I love motorcycles, so I used motorcycles to find a way to serve those who served."
Friday, July 14, Sandoval ended his ride in Milwaukee, and presented the charity with a check for $591,000, and he even gave away his motorcycle to someone who donated.
The Wounded Warrior Project says at the check presentation, Sandoval decided to round up to $600,000, personally contributing the $9,000 difference himself.
Adam's ride was fueled by C4 Ultimate Energy.
