So far Tuesday morning Kenosha, Racine and southern Milwaukee County have seen the steadiest areas of rain. The rest of southeast Wisconsin has at least had some rain but also lots of dry time with scattered showers. Those showers will continue throughout most of the day with a chance for gusty storms during the afternoon.

Here's a radar image that will update with time:

The wind has also started to increase with gusts in southern counties now peaking over 30 mph at times. Wind gusts could be as strong as 40 mph throughout the day and stay gusty to 30 mph through tonight before becoming lighter heading into Wednesday and Thursday.

While we saw lots of dry time on Monday, there were still a few showers here and there. A time of steady rain Monday night into Tuesday morning has mostly wrapped up but scattered showers will continue. Through 5 AM Tuesday, rainfall totals since Sunday have ranged from 0.25-0.75" across most of southeast Wisconsin.

More scattered showers are likely throughout most of Tuesday, but there will be plenty of dry time as well to head to the polls on Election Day. The best chance for a few storms will be during the afternoon. Some of those storms could bring in some heavy rain and gusty wind.

A small area in Wisconsin is under a Level 1 Marginal risk for strong storms Tuesday. The risk includes Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties and parts of Jefferson, Waukesha, Washington and Sheboygan Counties locally. The biggest threat would be some strong wind with a few showers or storms however a brief, weak tornado is possible as well.

Additional rainfall Tuesday will range from a half to full inch of rain with highest totals coming to those that see storms or some downpours.

In addition to the scattered showers, the wind will stay strong on Tuesday. Wind gusts could even approach 40 mph during the day then stay strong to 30 mph Tuesday night before a lighter wind returns Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures on Election Day won't move much. When polls open Tuesday morning temps will be in the low 60s with afternoon highs reaching the mid/upper 60s thanks to the clouds and rain then eventually dropping into the upper 50s by the time the polls close.
