MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new sculpture stands tall at Milwaukee's Italian Community Center.
The two-story stainless steel piece was donated by the Mangiamele Arts Foundation. It's called "New Beginnings" and is dedicated to immigrants of all nationalities an races who came to America.
The president of the foundation designed the prototype.
He says it's a dream come true to bring art to Milwaukee.
"I've been a professor for 37 years here at UWM at the school of architecture and then I got into this art stuff cause I've always had a talent for design and so when I retired I started doing this, and my wife thought originally that it was silly stuff that I was doing," said Joseph Mangiamele, President of the Mangiamele Arts Foundation.
The sculpture can be found at the northwest corner of ICC.
