MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We have exclusive new details about the abandoned boat stranded near Bradford Beach.
According to Milwaukee County Supervisor Sheldon Wasserman, the county is taking responsibility for removing "Deep Thought," also known as the "S.S. Minnow."
But where this story gets interesting, is who is going to pay to salvage it.
Wasserman tells us they're going to seek reimbursement from the boat's owners, but the people who left the boat where it sits never registered it in their home state.
That means the legal owners are the Michigan couple who sold it to Richard and Sherry Wells, so the county will go after them for reimbursement.
County officials are now coming up with a salvage plan and aren't sure when the process will start.
