MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is set to make a campaign stop in Milwaukee, with the goal being to drive voters to the polls.

The event is billed as "Rally with Bernie to Save Democracy" and will take place Monday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m.

Sanders has spoken in Wisconsin multiple times throughout the campaign season, speaking on behalf of Democratic candidates, including Sen. Tammy Baldwin and then-candidate President Joe Biden. He will be making multiple stops elsewhere in the state to campaign on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz over the weekend prior to his Milwaukee visit.

The rally will be held at Power to the Polls headquarters at 4184 N. 56th in Milwaukee, with the event's webpage stating that the rally's purpose is to " ... remind our community of the power of their voices."

Anticipated topics of discussion include healthcare access, labor rights and ensuring Wisconsinites understand the important electoral role of the state on the Nov. 5 general election.
