WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- United States Senator Ron Johnson spoke at the opening day of the Wisconsin Republican Convention Saturday, June 26.
Johnson spoke to supporters on a number of topics, including using his time to compare liberal strategies to that of the conservative movement.
The senator also added in his speech that Democrats have grown angrier and angrier over the last decade.
"For some reason, they want to control your life," Johnson said. "It's not good enough they get to do what they want to do, they’ve got to impose everything they want on the rest of us. We just want to be left alone.”
The Wisconsin Democratic Party issued a statement on Johnson's speech Saturday, June 26, saying, “Ron Johnson once again showed Wisconsinites that he’s only concerned with fulfilling his personal ambitions, not doing what is in their best interests.”
Johnson has not yet announced if he will be seeking a third-term as a U.S. Senator.
