Seven Wisconsin Badgers find NFL homes
MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The NFL Draft was good to a talented class of Wisconsin Badgers NFL hopefuls this weekend.
Seven Badgers are officially with an NFL team as of Sunday, with three officially drafted and four more signing on as undrafted free agents.
Defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk went first, getting drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round.
Loudermilk was followed by defensive back Rachad Wildgoose who is headed to Buffalo as the Bills sixth round selection.
Just one pick later, Green Bay's own, offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen got selected by the Packers with the 214th overall pick in the sixth round in a special homecoming for the hometown star.
Following the draft, four Badgers signed on as undrafted free agents to four different teams.
Offensive lineman Jon Dietzen, a Wisconsin native, will join Van Lanen on the Packers...
Running back and Wisconsinite Garrett Groshek is heading to Las Vegas to join the Raiders and former Badger fullback Alec Ingold.
Fullback Mason Stokke, another Wisconsin native, signed on with the Carolina Panthers where we will join forces with former UW linebacker Chris Orr.
And finally defensive back Eric Burrell joins current Saint and former Badger Zack Baun in New Orleans.
