'Mr. Bombastic' Shaggy and Salt-N-Pepa set to 'push it' at the Wisconsin State Fair
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Dancehall reggae artist, Shaggy, and the pioneering women of hip-hop, Salt-N-Pepa, are set to perform on the Wisconsin State Fair Main Stage. The announcement came in a Tuesday, May 23 press release.
The event takes place on Friday, Aug. 4 at 7:30 p.m., presented by the Potawatomi Casino Hotel.
Shaggy, the only Diamond-selling artist in his genre, has sold over 40 million album units and garnered eight singles on the Billboard Hot 100. He is often remembered for chart-topping hits like “Oh Carolina,” “Boombastic” and “It Wasn’t Me.”
Salt-N-Pepa made their mark as the first ladies of hip-hop. Their pop chart breakthrough, "Push It," sent their debut album into Platinum status. Classics such as “Shoop” and “Whatta Man” also cemented their influential sound.
Tickets will be available Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m. on WiStateFair.com. All seating is reserved, with tickets priced at $50, $55, and $60, including admission to the fair on the day of the show.
