SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Sheboygan Falls woman accused of assaulting her 8-year-old son was taken into custody Friday morning, April 1.
The woman was released from an area hospital Friday afternoon and taken to the Sheboygan County Jail where she will face two charges of attempted intentional homicide.
Police say the second charge stems from information obtained from an unreported previous incident.
As of 11 a.m. Friday, the child victim remains in critical condition at Children's Wisconsin.
