Shooting near Holton and Meinecke, police say it appears to be domestic violence related

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are looking into a non-fatal shooting that happened on Sunday, Dec. 3 around 2:20 a.m. near Holton and Meinecke.

A 30-year-old was shot and taken to a local hospital. They are expected to survive.

The suspect, a 30-year old, was found and arrested on Sunday, Dec. 3 shortly before 3:00 a.m. near 26th and Grant. 

A handgun was found.

Police are trying to determine what led up to the shooting, however, they say it appears to be related to domestic violence.

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
