Shoppers can win prizes while supporting woman-owned businesses in Milwaukee's Third Ward

MILWUAKEE (CBS 58) -- Businesses in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward are celebrating Women’s History Month with a bingo game that highlights 20 woman-owned boutiques and restaurants. The event began Saturday, March 8, on International Women’s Day and will run through Monday, March 31.
Shoppers can participate by picking up a bingo card at any participating location. A $5 minimum purchase at one of the businesses earns a stamp, and completing a row in any direction qualifies the cardholder to claim a prize.
Completed cards can be redeemed at Broadway Paper, located at 191 N. Broadway, for a chance to win a $25 gift card to one of the participating businesses, which include:
- Lela Boutique
- Broadway Paper
- Shoo
- Sweetly Baked
- Bavette
- Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop
- Tied House, A-Trio Jewelry
- Donut Monster
- Salty Paws
- Performance Running Outfitters
- Explorium Brewpub
- Miss Ruby Bridal
- The District Row
- Mainstream Boutique.
Milwaukee Public Market vendors C. Adams Bakery, Thai-namite, David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse & Saloon, Margarita Paradise and Freese’s Candy Shoppe are also part of the event. Each business is at least 50 percent woman-owned.
