MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers broke ground on a clinic expansion project Tuesday, Aug. 15.

The three-story, 21,000-square-foot expansion -- located at 1032 South Cesar E. Chavez Drive -- will feature primary medical care, a new pharmacy, behavioral health services, social services, and wellness classes.

All of which will be available to Milwaukee's south side.

More than 45,000 people already rely on Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers. This expansion is estimated to accommodate an additional 32,0000 visits per year.

The grand opening for the new space is planned for fall of 2024.
