3 DOC employees placed on leave following Morgan Geyser's escape

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three state Department of Corrections (DOC) employees involved in the response to Morgan Geyser's escape have been placed on administrative leave pending an ongoing investigation, according to the DOC.

Twenty-three-year-old Geyser ran away from her Madison group home last month after cutting off her ankle monitor.

She was arrested about 24 hours later just south of Chicago.

Jail records show Geyser is no longer listed as an inmate in the Waukesha County Jail. This comes after a petition from her lawyer, pushing for Geyser to be moved from the jail to a mental health facility.

Geyser's next court appearance has been delayed until after the holidays. That date has been set for Feb. 16.
