Elected officials participate in south side community walk

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Community members gathered on Milwaukee's south side on Thursday, July 25, for a walk together. 

The walk began around 3:30 p.m. at the El Rey Food Market and ended at the Jackson Park Farmers Market.

 Elected officials joined the community walk, such as Alderman Peter Burgelis, Alderwoman JoCasta Zamarripa, County Executive David Crowley, and several others.  

"This is a great opportunity to meet city and county leaders as we walk the neighborhood to one of the top Farmers Markets in our community. I hope to see many neighbors at the walk or at the market," said Alderman Burgelis in a release.
