Speeding leads to drug bust in Racine County

RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Two Fond du Lac women were taken to the Racine County Jail Friday morning after more than 1,170 grams of THC infused edibles and raw marijuana were found in their car. The two were stopped around 9 AM for going 80 miles per hour in 60 miles per hour work zone on I-94 near Racine CTH KR. The two Racine County Deputies observed suspicious behavior by the woman was the car was coming to a stop. A drug detection K-9 was deployed and the dog indicated the possibility of drugs in the vehicle.

When searching the car, the Deputies found the THC and raw marijuana along with 47 fluid ounces of THC infused beverages and liquid edibles and 7.5 prescription Xanax pills. Neither of the women had a prescription for the pills.

The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Tiffany Strum is being held in the Racine County Jail for Delivery of THC, Possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond is set at $5,600.

The passenger, 50-year-old Rebecca Reinke is being held in the Racine County Jail for Delivery of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond is set at $12,600.
