STEM-focused Family Fun Day set for Aug. 6 in Milwaukee 🔭

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Families in and around Milwaukee should prepare for a day of scientific exploration and fun, as STEM takes center stage on Sunday, Aug. 6.

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. and Northwestern Mutual, through its Foundation, are hosting a STEM-focused Family Fun Day as part of the Sunday Family Fun Day series. It will take place at the Northwestern Mutual Community Park inside Henry Maier Festival Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The lineup will showcase STEM-themed programming, including a STEM Showcase with Gearbox Labs, Hamilton High School, Milwaukee Robotics Academy, STEAM Milwaukee, UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium, Mastcam-Z and Mad Science.

Additional features include performances from Los 3 Amigos, Milwaukee Flyers, UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium, Milwaukee Ballet and various roaming artists.

Exhibits and hands-on activities, as well as on-site food and beverage options, will be available.

Parking lots will open 15 minutes before 10 a.m., with a limited number of free parking spaces will be accessible. Attendees should be aware of USA Triathlon road closures, as they may cause delays.
