Milwaukee creator named to TikTok’s The Discover List 2025
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Student Visionaries of the Year program, a philanthropic initiative focused on leadership development among high school students, is nearing its conclusion for 2024.
The seven-week competition engages students from the Milwaukee metro area, as well as northeast Wisconsin, in a fundraising challenge to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission against blood cancers.
This year, the competition has seen participation from 22 teams comprising 43 candidates in a format that allows up to three students to co-lead a team.
Sanjana Vasireddy, a current candidate, alongside Nate Zimmerman and Charles Vielehr, winners from 2023, joined us on Thursday, April 4 to discuss the campaign's impact and the efforts by participants to reach their fundraising goals.
The campaign is set to conclude on Saturday, April 13 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, where the winners and total funds raised will be revealed.
Contributions can still be made through the program's Eastern Wisconsin website by clicking here.
