MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Wednesday, Oct. 9 marked the 26th annual Tree Day in Milwaukee, and some local 1st graders helped the city celebrate.
Students from several Milwaukee Public Schools planted five trees with the help of Milwaukee County Parks foresters.
While planting the trees, the students left pieces of paper with their names on it to show the tree is theirs.
The tree planting event happened at Humboldt Park Pavilion in Bay View.
