MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The final weekend of the world's largest music festival kicks off Thursday when the gates open at noon.

Weekend three will bring an American Cornhole League Pro Shootout and SuperHole Cornhole competitions at the Gruber Law Offices Sportzone, with appearances from celebrities like Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones.

On Thursday, July 6, UW-Madison graduate Yung Gravy will headline the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, after the band AJR pulled out last-minute for a family emergency.

“These situations are extremely unfortunate, but you know, sometimes completely out of our control. He put on an incredible show at the Generac Power Stage on weekend two of the festival, so again, that show is free with festival admission, it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis," said Jerrod Woods, the senior director of marketing at Summerfest. "We highly recommend people coming down. If you didn’t see the show during his performance on weekend two, it’s gonna be a good one.”

Woods added that during emergencies, Summerfest's entertainment team "puts out calls left and right."

"It just happened to be that Yung Gravy was interested in wanting to come back and was available, so we pulled the trigger on it," Woods said. "We literally look everywhere and anywhere. We’re turning any stone to try and figure out who can come, who’s available, you know, there’s a lot of coordination because a lot of artists just book everything so far in advance.”

On Friday, starting at noon, Summerfest will feature Latin Music Day.

For fest goers heading to the event on Saturday, patrons arriving from noon until 3 p.m. will receive free admission.

The first 30,000 will also not only receive a free admission ticket for Summerfest 2024, but will receive a BIG WIN entry ticket, which can be dropped off at a marked bin inside of the Summerfest mid gate from noon until 3 p.m.

Starting at 4 p.m., five present winners could win $1,000,000 and a guaranteed share of $10,000.

“There’s just an excitement that people just had this year, coming down to the grounds," Woods said. "The community has really come out, and we cannot appreciate their support any more -- from sponsors and partners and everyone, because without their support, Summerfest would not be what it is today.”

Other performances include Zach Bryan, Imagine Dragons, Smokey Robinson, Lauren Daigle, Tyler Hubbard, Ne-Yo, and more.
