Suspect shot by officer in Oshkosh during investigation

Oshkosh, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to Oshkosh police, one of their officers was involved in a shooting on Friday, Mar. 17 around 1:30 a.m. near Main and Church.

The officer shot a suspect during a police investigation.

The shooting victim is now being treated at a local hospital.

The officer was not harmed and there is no threat to public safety at this time.

Oshkosh police are not looking for any additional suspects related to this shooting.

This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be released when it becomes available.
