Racine police: Vehicle involved in deadly hit-and-run located; suspect sought

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities report they have located a vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Racine. Officials say it has been towed for evidence.

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Racine police say a man has died following a hit-and-run Dec. 22.

Officers responded to the area near Erie Street and Hagerer around 10:36 p.m. 

Information was gathered that an individual went outside to start his vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle that fled the scene.

The victim, 69-year-old Anthony Morales, was found lying in the street. He was taken to an area hospital and airlifted to Milwaukee where he later died from his injuries.

Police say suspect vehicle parts found at the scene were for a gray/silver 2019-2022 Subaru Ascent. Parts of a black grill were also found.
