Suspicious vehicle in Salem Lakes neighborhood prompts extra patrols

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is investigating after they say a suspicious vehicle driven by an older woman stopped juveniles in Salem Lakes and asked for directions.

According to the sheriff's department, around 2:45 p.m. Monday, July 18, deputies were dispatched to the 26600 block of 106th Street after a caller stated her daughters were at a park in the Camp Lake neighborhood when a white Chevrolet Cruze stopped and was asking them for directions.

The caller reported the driver of the white vehicle was an older Asian female.

The sheriff's department says the same vehicle also stopped and asked another juvenile girl in the neighborhood for directions, and also asked her to get into the car.

Extra patrols will be added to the neighborhood and surrounding areas following these incidents.

Anyone with information is urged to report it to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.
