DALLAS, Texas (CBS 58) -- The Marquette men's basketball team will make their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 in over a decade. It's a game you'll see on CBS 58.
Tip-off is set for 6:09 p.m.
CBS 58's Scott Grodsky has been following the Golden Eagles in Dallas as they get ready for the matchup against NC State University.
Players admitted they're a little bit nervous going into this game, but they'll be ready for the challenge.
"A good amount of anxiety, a good amount of nerves, but that just means you're alive," said Kam Jones, Marquette guard. "You're in the Sweet 16 of the tournament you should have those feelings, so I think we're all just trying to help each other stay present, stay in the moment. Just enjoy this for one another."
It sets up a unique matchup against Oso Ighodaro and the Golden Eagles' more athletic bigs.
These two teams have only played once before in the tournament.
Coincidentally enough, this is the 50-year anniversary of the NC State beating Marquette for the 1974 National Championship.
