Good travel weather in Wisconsin before the cold settles in
GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Democrats have made a lot of campaign headlines in Wisconsin this week, with visits from Harris and Walz.
A group of Republican leaders calling themselves "Team Trump" held a lunch in Grafton on Friday, Oct. 18, to promote school choice and parental rights.
New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who chairs the House Republican Conference, was one of the featured speakers.
Democrats have attacked Donald Trump on the issue of abortion rights. CBS 58 asked Congresswoman Stefanik about her message to suburban women.
"The issues of crime and security, those are women's issues as well. Moms, women want safe communities, we had safety and security under President Trump. Kamala Harris is a defund the police Democrat with a wide-open border. That's not what women and suburban families want," said Stefanik.
Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are campaigning in another battleground state today, Michigan. The vice president spoke to workers in Grand Rapids.
The former president held a round table on the economy in suburban Detroit.
