Teen sentenced to 25 years in prison for shooting that killed 14-year-old

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A teen charged in the shooting of 14-year-old Sebastian Florentino has been sentenced. 

The shooting happened near 52nd and Clarke on Jan. 21, 2023.

According to a criminal complaint, investigators spoke with a witness who said the victim and teen were making videos with weapons in a garage when the shooting happened.

The witness told authorities the teen was pointing the firearm around and fired one round at the victim, later identified as 14-year-old Sebastian Florentino, before saying, "sorry bro."

The complaint says the teen allegedly continued shooting at Florentino before turning around and firing at the witness.

The teen and another individual on scene then allegedly ran off. 

Police say 14-year-old Sebastian Florentino died of his injuries and his 13-year-old brother was injured.

The teen was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
